Jan Novák, M.A., won the UJEP 2026 Student Research Conference
Josef Novák, a doctoral student in the Department of Physics at the Faculty of Science, UJEP, won the university finals of the Student Scientific Conference yesterday with his paper titled “Study of the Effect of Energy Ion Doping on Increasing the Energy Conversion Efficiency of Photovoltaic Cells”! His presentation of the research impressed both the expert jury and the audience.
The conference took place on March 26, 2026, and featured the best young scientists from seven faculties at our university.
The UJEP Student Scientific Conference showcased the seven best projects by talented doctoral students at UJEP. Each project represented a different faculty and a different field of study, but all offered insight into the areas shaping current research at UJEP.
Mgr. Josef Novák, winner of the faculty round of the UJEP Faculty of Science Student Research Conference, also won the university finals with his research and highly engaging presentation titled “Study of the Effect of Energy Ion Doping on Increasing the Energy Conversion Efficiency of a Photovoltaic Cell” (researcher: Mgr. Josef Novák, advisor: Dr. P. Malinský).
Second place went to Mgr. Monika Stará from the Faculty of Arts at UJEP with her project “Reflections of Chabařovice’s Industrial History in Foreign Sources.”
Third place went to Ing. arch. Jiří Philippe Janda from the UJEP Faculty of Art and Design for his work “Neural Networks in Artistic Creation: From Generated Images to the Virtual World.”
The Audience Award went to Ing. Jan Čundrle from the Faculty of Environmental Studies at UJEP for his work “Photoactive Nanocomposite Materials Based on Molybdenum Clusters and Functional Nanoparticles.”
We warmly congratulate Mgr. Novák and the other finalists and wish them good luck and success in their future scientific careers.
