The summer school of mathematics and physics is traditionally part of the holidays.

The Union of Czech Mathematicians and Physicists, together with the Department of Mathematics of the Faculty of Science at the University of Jan Evangelista Purkyně, is organizing the traditional Summer School of Mathematics and Physics 2025 in the Jizera Mountains from August 9 to 16, 2025. The week-long stay for enthusiasts of mathematics and physics who attend secondary school or the second stage of primary school will be followed by a Summer School for teachers of mathematics and physics at primary and secondary schools, an accredited four-day DVPP course for teachers, starting on August 10, 2025.

The Summer School for secondary and primary school students (after the 6th grade of primary school) is a week-long summer camp with an unusual program consisting of lectures and workshops in mathematics and physics and unconventional camp activities for the brave who are not afraid to think even during the holidays.

The follow-up Summer School for teachers of mathematics and physics at primary and secondary schools is an accredited four-day DVPP course for teachers.

Both take place in Janov nad Nisou in the Jizera Mountains.

Details, including a detailed program, can be found on the website of the Department of Mathematics and on the website of the Branch Association of the Union of Czech Mathematicians and Physicists in Ústí nad Labem.
