Starting in February, we will be offering preparatory courses for the entrance exams to grammar schools and secondary schools
The Department of Mathematics has prepared courses in mathematics and Czech language for 9th grade primary school students who are preparing for admission to four-year grammar schools and other secondary schools. The classes are held in the premises of the Department of Mathematics of the Faculty of Science of the University of Applied Sciences, on the 7th floor of the CPTO building, from the first week of February until the week before the entrance exam dates. Interested students can come and try the first lesson for free!
Both courses run in nine 90-minute sessions, in small working groups led by experienced qualified teachers. We use (not only) the CERMAT mock tests in our lessons, so participants can try the entrance exams for real.
We focus not only on knowledge of both subjects, but also on developing the skills necessary to successfully understand the individual tasks and the whole test, planning strategies, support techniques, etc.
Classes run from the first week of February until the week before the entrance exam dates, except for the week of spring break for the Ustek district.
The MATH course runs every Thursday from 2.30pm to 4pm.
The Czech language course is always on Tuesdays from 15.30 to 17.00.
Both courses take place in the premises of the Department of Mathematics of the Faculty of Science of UJEP on the 7th floor of the CPTO building on the UJEP campus (Pasteurova 15, Ústí nad Labem).
You have to register for the course using the FORM. More information can be found HERE. Alternatively, the course guarantor Magdalena Krátká, PhD, will give you the information.
