Josef Novák received the Award of the Minister of Education, Youth and Sports

The Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, Mikuláš Bek, awarded university students, teachers and scientists at the Liechtenstein Palace yesterday, 19 November 2024. Among the awardees was also our student, graduate of Applied Nanotechnology and now a student of the PhD programme in Applied Ion Technology, Mgr. Josef Novák.

The prizes of the Minister of Education, Youth and Sports are awarded in several categories, to students, university teachers, scientists and laureates for lifetime contribution to science are also awarded.

Mgr. Josef Novák, a PhD student of Applied Ion Technologies at the Faculty of Science of Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem, received the Award of the Minister of Education, Youth and Sports for outstanding students and graduates of the study programme and for extraordinary achievements of students. This prize has been awarded by the Ministry of Education in its current form since 2014. The award may be given to a student or graduate of a bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral study programme for outstanding achievements in studies or in scientific, research, development, artistic or other creative activities related to studies. The award is also given for an exceptional act of civic bravery, responsibility or dedication.

This year, 18 laureates and a group of students from the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Charles University were awarded the Prize of the Minister of Education, Youth and Sports for outstanding students and graduates of the study programme and for extraordinary acts of students.
