Professor Zdeňka Kolská was a guest on the FSI UJEP podcast
The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at UJEP is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its founding this year. To mark the occasion, a series of interviews entitled ‘Podcast FSI’ has been produced, featuring prominent figures associated with the faculty. One of the podcast’s guests was Prof. Ing. Zdeňka Kolská, Ph.D., from the Faculty of Science at UJEP, who works closely with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (FSI) at UJEP on inter-faculty projects.
What was her journey into science like? What does being a professor mean to her, and how does she view the position of women in academia? Professor Zdeňka Kolská answers these and other questions in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering’s podcast.
The interview offers an insight not only into her professional and scientific career, but also into her personal experiences, life values and what helps her to maintain her joy, curiosity and humanity. It also touches on topics that go beyond the confines of the academic world – personal stories, life experiences and what shapes a person on their journey.
Professor Zdeňka Kolská is one of the leading scientific figures at the Faculty of Science, UJEP, and the Centre for Nanomaterials and Biotechnology (CENAB) at the Faculty of Science, UJEP. We are delighted that she was able to share her professional and personal experiences and present her perspective on science and academic life as part of the FSI UJEP podcast.
