The Scientific Library invites you to a botanical walk through Cyprus

On Wednesday, April 8, the UJEP Research Library hosted a lecture by Ing. Petr Hanzelka, Ph.D., from the Prague Botanical Garden, titled “A Botanical Journey Through Cyprus.” The lecture will take place at 4:00 p.m. in the computer lab of the UJEP Scientific Library and is part of “Cyprus Days at UJEP.”

The lecture will seek to present Cyprus primarily as a place where one can encounter extraordinary and often very rare plant species, many of which are found nowhere else. It will also offer a glimpse of Cypriot nature across three different seasons (early spring, late summer, and autumn).

Attention will also be given to the phenomenon of the cultural landscape in the Mediterranean. For several millennia, human activity has shaped the island into the form we know today.
