Elections to the Academic Senate of the University of Jan Evangelista Purkyně in Ústí nad Labem 2025
On October 29, 2025, the Academic Senate of the University of Jan Evangelista Purkyně (UJEP) announced, in accordance with Article 2, Paragraph 1 of the UJEP Academic Senate Election Rules, elections to the UJEP Academic Senate for the term of office from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2028.
Schedule and organizational guidelines for the UJEP AS elections:
Election period: December 3, 2025 – December 10, 2025
The election will be conducted electronically; detailed instructions and procedures for voting will be published well in advance.

Organization of elections:
For the purposes of elections to the AS UJEP, two electoral districts are established in the academic community of each faculty – academic staff and students.
Elections are held independently in each electoral district. Academic staff vote for candidates to the AKAS, students vote for candidates to the SKAS.
Only a member of the UJEP academic community may be a candidate for membership in the AS UJEP pursuant to Section 70(1) or Section 61 of the Act.
Candidates are nominated by members of the UJEP academic community. Nominations must be in writing, signed, contain the candidate’s consent and the necessary identification data, including a contact email address and the chamber for which the candidate is running.
Nominations for candidates for both chambers of the AS UJEP can be submitted on the prescribed forms no later than November 24, 2025, by 12:00 p.m. to the chair of the district election commission of the Faculty of Science, UJEP.

Lists of candidates, including the names of those who nominated them, will be published by the district election commission on November 25, 2025, on the website of the Faculty of Science, UJEP.
Election and voting procedure
The elections are direct, secret, and conducted electronically from December 3, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. to December 10, 2025, at 12:00 p.m.
The UJEP IT Center is responsible for the technical aspects of electronic voting. The Faculty’s district election commission is responsible for the secrecy and indisputability of the voting.
The Faculty’s district election commission will submit the election protocol to the UJEP AS to the chair of the main election commission no later than December 12, 2025.
