Geographies of Transformations − new Ph.D. Programme opens now!
Geographies of transformations is a newly accredited Ph.D. study programme coordinated by Department of Geography. Interdisciplinary in its nature, the programme seeks to develop students’ skills to explore and understand the feedbacks among multiple socioeconomic, cultural and environmental processes entailing the complex transformations of geographical systems. The research topics include, e.g., local adaptations to climate change, socioeconomic transformation of old industrial regions, and effects of globalization on sustainable livelihood of traditional communities. The programme provides a career path for professionals in strategic, regional and environmental planning, underpinned by international policies and strategies.
