05What is it like to study geography at the Faculty of Science at Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem? What does the field encompass, and why is it far from being just about maps?
The answers come in the latest episode of our video series, in which the individual departments are introduced by those best qualified to do so—students alongside faculty members. They’ll guide you through the faculty’s environment in an authentic and accessible way, introducing you to the study programs and giving you a glimpse into what classes and student life are like at each department.
This time, we invite you to the Department of Geography, where you’ll discover that geography is a field that connects nature, society, and modern technology. It helps us understand the changes in landscapes, cities, and regions and find connections between what is happening around us. In the video, students and faculty will introduce the study programs, show what classes are like both in the classroom and in the field, and present the opportunities offered by studying geography at the Faculty of Science, UJEP, as well as the career paths its graduates pursue.
