From Professional Expertise to Teaching: Complete your teaching qualification at the Faculty of Science, UJEP
Do you have a degree in biology, physics, chemistry, computer science or mathematics, and are you interested in teaching? Is a teaching qualification the only thing missing? The Faculty of Science at UJEP offers a way to obtain this through the ‘Study of Pedagogy for Lower Secondary and Upper Secondary School Teachers’ programme. Applications for the 2026/2027 academic year must be submitted by 31 August 2026.
This supplementary teacher training programme is primarily intended for current and future teachers of the second stage of primary and secondary schools who lack the necessary teaching qualification. Graduates of Master’s programmes in related fields who need to supplement their pedagogical and psychological training, or university students in related fields, may also apply.
The programme offers specialisations focused on teaching natural history/biology, physics, chemistry, computer science and mathematics.
The course comprises 300 teaching hours spread over three semesters. It includes a foundation in pedagogy and psychology, subject-specific didactics and teaching practice, enabling participants to apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired directly in a real school environment. Classes are held in person in weekend blocks at the Faculty of Science, UJEP, within the modern setting of the university campus, on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays depending on the chosen specialisation.
Upon successful completion of the programme and passing the final examination, participants will receive a certificate qualifying them to practise the teaching profession in accordance with current legislation.
