The Department of Mathematics is preparing preparatory courses for primary school students for the entrance exams

The Department of Mathematics of the Faculty of Science of the University of Applied Sciences of Prague has again prepared preparatory courses in mathematics and Czech language for pupils of the 5th grade for entrance examinations to multi-year grammar schools. This year it has also newly prepared courses for 9th grade pupils for the entrance exams to four-year grammar schools and other secondary schools in 2025.

The courses will be delivered in nine 90-minute sessions, in small working groups led by experienced qualified teachers. The lessons will use (not only) illustrative CERMAT tests and participants will be able to try out the entrance exams for real.

Students will focus not only on their knowledge of both subjects, but also on developing the skills needed to successfully understand individual problems and the whole test, planning strategies, support techniques, etc.

Classes run from the first week of February 2025 until the week before the entrance exam dates, excluding the week of spring break for the Uptown district.

The courses will be held in the premises of the Department of Mathematics of the Faculty of Science of the University of Applied Sciences in the 7th floor of the Centre for Science and Technology (CPTO) building (Pasteurova 3632/15, 400 96 Ústí nad Labem).

You can register for the courses until 20 January 2025 or until capacity is reached. More information can be found directly on the website of the Department of Mathematics:
