SP Upper Secondary School Teacher Training in Geography (Mgr.)
Full-time study
The study programme is the second stage of preparation for the profession of geography teacher at primary and secondary schools. The study takes place in two-discipline combinations and is intended primarily for graduates of two-discipline bachelor’s degrees in the relevant field of study (i.e. Geography for Education). The focus of the training lies in the study of the chosen disciplines and their disciplinary didactics and in their connection with pedagogical and psychological disciplines and teaching practice. The study is completed by a state final examination in both disciplines, in pedagogy and psychology, and a thesis defence. Graduates obtain the statutory qualification of a teacher for secondary schools. Applicants who have not completed a geography programme at Bachelor level and who are admitted to study by decision of the Dean must complete a module of prescribed compensatory geography courses with a total of 50 ECTS.
