Next episode of Science Talks: Adéla Jagerová – materials physicist
In the next episode of Science Talks, we spoke with Adéla Jagerová from the Department of Physics of the Faculty of Science at UJEP, the recent recipient of the Henri Becquerel Prize for achievements in nuclear physics.
Adéla is engaged in research into nanomaterials, ion beams and surface structures for applications in optics and electronics. What she enjoys most about science is the opportunity to discover and create, and as she herself says, she does science because it fulfills her. She originally wanted to pursue a completely different field, but in the end she became a physicist in body and soul. We also discussed the stereotypes that prevail about physicists – and whether they fit her.
In the interview, you will also learn how the Christmas tree will be decorated at the Department of Physics or what a nice routine they have every week at the department.
The November episode of the podcast can be found on Spotify, Soundcloud under the label Podcasty UJEP and later on the YouTube channel of the Faculty of Science.
