Science Talks: Adriana Holušová – fluvial geomorphologist – scientist from Havířov in Ústí nad Labem
In the next episode of Science Talks, we spoke with Adriana Holušová, a fluvial geomorphologist from our faculty who researches river banks and processes of change in river beds.
You will learn what the work of a geomorphologist entails – how much time she spends in the field and how much at the computer, how the life of a river is analyzed, and why riverbanks are important for understanding changes in the landscape.
Adriana also shares her personal perspective with us – she comes from Havířov, studied at the University of Ostrava, and in the interview she compares how she likes Ústí nad Labem and in what ways Ústí is better than Ostrava (!).
You will also learn how she is celebrating her first successful year in Ústí nad Labem, why she is fascinated by Japan, and what she does in her free time.
You can find our podcast on Spotify and Soundcloud under the heading PodcastyUJEP, and later also on the faculty’s YouTube channel, where you can enjoy the podcast with video.
