The Department of Mathematics invites teachers to attend a seminar entitled “From School to Life”
On June 6, starting at 9:00 a.m., a full-day seminar entitled “From School to Life” will take place in lecture hall 1.04 in the Center for Natural Sciences and Technical Fields building. The seminar is part of a series of seminars for teachers entitled “Mathematics Among Us,” which is regularly organized by the Department of Mathematics at the Faculty of Science, UJEP.
The aim of the seminar series is to present teachers with different perspectives on how mathematics can enter everyday reality – scientific, professional, and personal. We want to offer teachers inspiration and arguments that mathematics is not just a school subject, but an effective and beautiful tool for solving various problems and understanding the world around us.
The seminars take place regularly once per semester (June and September) and always feature three speakers from various fields, academic institutions, and the private sector.
