Monika Pelikánová advanced to the semi-finals of the Zlatý Ámos competition

Our colleague and graduate Mgr. Monika Pelikánová was among the 17 best teachers in the prestigious Zlatý Ámos competition! Monika is one of the didacticians at the Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Science of the Jagiellonian University and also works as a biology and chemistry teacher at the Josef Jungmann Gymnasium in Litoměřice, where her students nominated her for the Zlatý Ámos competition.

In addition, she works with gifted children and helps them develop their potential. She is actively involved in the education of future teachers at the Faculty of Science of the Jagiellonian University.

Zlatý Ámos is a traditional survey that annually searches for the most inspiring and popular teachers in the Czech Republic. The nominations are decided by the students themselves, who show through their stories and recommendations how important a role their teachers play in their education and personal development.

Monika entered the competition thanks to the enthusiastic recommendations of her students, who appreciate her human approach, innovative teaching methods and tireless efforts to motivate them to explore the world. Making it to the semi-finals is not only a recognition of her teaching qualities, but also an inspiration for other teachers.

Monika is now preparing for the next stage of the competition where she will compete to reach the finals. We firmly believe that her enthusiasm, determination and love for educating young people will help her reach even higher standards. Fingers crossed!
