CPTO held a seminar on the implementation of the reform of teacher training
On Tuesday, 23 January 2025, a seminar on the implementation of the reform of teacher training for the period 2024-2028 was held at the Faculty of Science of the Jagiellonian University, which was lectured by Assoc. PhDr. Kateřina Jančaříková, Ph.D., head of our Centre for Support of Science Education. The event, organized as part of the EduPower: Platform of Pedagogical Excellence of the Ústí nad Labem Region, a project of RUR – Region to University, University to Region, offered a space for presentation of plans, discussion of challenges and opportunities of the reform and deepening of cooperation between the University and regional schools.
The seminar was attended by 15 headmasters and headmistresses, representatives of faculty schools together with the management of the Faculty of Science of the UJEP and didacticians from the Centre for Support of Science Education. The seminar was introduced by the Dean of the Faculty of Science of UJEP doc. RNDr. Michal Varady, Ph.D.
“These meetings are essential for maintaining continuity between academic preparation and practical needs of schools,” said doc. PhDr. Kateřina Jančaříková, Ph.D.
The reform of the preparation of future teachers brings key changes to the education system in the Ústí nad Labem Region, aimed at improving the quality of preparation of future teachers.
