Department of Computer Science plans summer schools for teachers

The Department of Computer Science has prepared two dates for the summer school for teachers “How to do computer science?”. The summer schools are intended for all primary school teachers, regardless of their qualifications, and will take place on two holiday dates: from 14 to 18 July and from 18 to 22 August 2025.

The summer school for primary school teachers from the Ústí nad Labem region will support the development of digital competences across subjects and strengthen cross-curricular relationships. Participants will learn how to practically integrate digital skills into teaching, effectively link computer science with other areas and use modern technologies.

The program includes constructivist methods, model lessons, problem-based learning and non-traditional approaches to digital competencies. The programme will look at practical ways to integrate digital skills into the teaching of different subjects and shows how to effectively link computer science with other areas of education. In particular, the focus will be on preparing educators to use digital technologies in a meaningful way to develop students’ knowledge and competencies throughout the educational process.
