Registration for the ‘Learn, Explore, Discover & Innovate’ event, Vol. II, is now open!
Would you like to try your hand at science in practice, learn about modern technologies and find out more about studying at university? The Faculty of Science at UJEP invites secondary school pupils to the second edition of the ‘Discover, Explore, Innovate’ event, which will offer hands-on workshops, information on studying at university and the chance to get a glimpse of university life.
The event will take place on26, Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem.
Science first-hand
Participants can look forward to hands-on workshops focusing on biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, geography, computer science and nanotechnology. Through experiments and other activities, they will gain an up-close insight into the natural sciences and discover how the knowledge gained can be put into practice.
The programme will also include a discussion with a UJEP student, during which there will be an opportunity to ask questions about university studies and student life. Those interested will learn more about the range of degree programmes on offer, including teacher-training courses, as well as opportunities to study abroad under the Erasmus+ programme. A tour of the university campus and the scientific library has also been organised.
Who is this event for?
The event is primarily aimed at pupils in their third and fourth years of secondary school and grammar school. Both individuals and entire school classes are welcome to attend.
Places on individual workshops are limited, so we recommend registering in good time.
