CreaThon – HacKIthon 2026 Once Again Brought Great Ideas and a Great Atmosphere
On May 22–23, 2026, the Department of Computer Science at the Faculty of Science, UJEP, hosted the 6th annual CreaThon – HacKIthon, jointly organized by the Department of Computer Science and the Division for Data Analysis and Simulation (ODAS). High school and college students had 24 hours to complete the competition tasks and develop innovative technological solutions.
This year, participants tackled four competition challenges focused on the use of open data, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and voice technologies. Expert mentors from both academia and the business sector were available to assist them throughout the event.
The highlight of the event was the final project presentations before a panel of expert judges. First place went to the Poslední team, second place to the Škvorátka team, and third place to the Ještěrky team. The Paperbox team won the award for the best high school team. The complete results are available on the competition website.
We’d like to thank all the contestants, mentors, partners, and organizers for a fantastic event. This year’s competition was a great success and once again demonstrated just how many talented and creative students we have here. We’re already looking forward to next year’s competition.
