We know the winners of the faculty round of the Student Research Conference
On February 5, 2026, the traditional Student Research Conference of the Faculty of Science at UJEP took place. Master’s and doctoral students presented projects they had worked on in 2025 as part of the faculty’s UJEP Student Grant Competition.
Starting in 2010, the Student Grant Agency began operating at our university, expanding students’ opportunities to participate in scientific, research, or development projects. Student grant projects are carried out by faculty members in collaboration with students in master’s or doctoral programs.
Eighteen students presented at the faculty conference, introducing the audience to interesting scientific topics across all disciplines of our faculty. From all the presentations, the Grant Committee of the Faculty of Science selected the three best, which are the following students and their projects:
1) Josef Novák, M.A.: Study of the Effect of Energy Ion Doping on Increasing the Energy Conversion Efficiency of a Photovoltaic Cell

The winner of the faculty round of the Student Scientific Conference—Mgr. Josef Novák—advances to the university-wide round of the Student Scientific Conference, which will take place on March 26, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the Red Auditorium of the MFC UJEP, to which we cordially invite you! The conference will feature the 7 best projects, each from a different UJEP faculty, offering insights into the areas shaping current research at UJEP. As is tradition, the audience in attendance can also vote to select not only the overall winners but also the winner of the Audience Choice Award.
