Video from events for high school students: Project Learn, Explore, Discover & Innovate
In September and October, the Faculty of Science at the University of Jan Evangelista Purkyně in Ústí nad Labem came alive with science aimed at the younger generation. The all-day program “Learn, Explore, Discover & Innovate” took place twice — on September 11 and October 9, 2025 — and dozens of students from secondary schools and high schools from across the region took part in the activities.
Both days offered participants the opportunity to experience science live: physics, biology, chemistry, mathematics, computer science, geography, and nanotechnology were all included — all in the form of interactive workshops and lectures led by teachers and students from the Faculty of Science.
The program also included an informal discussion with a current Faculty of Science student, who shared his experiences of studying and student life with participants in an “unvarnished” manner. There was also great interest in information about the faculty’s study programs, Erasmus+ exchanges, and career opportunities for graduates of science and teaching programs.
