The 2nd Czechia-Germany Symposium on Materials Science is approaching

On November 6–7, 2025, the Faculty of Science of the University of Jan Evangelista Purkyně in Ústí nad Labem will host the 2nd Czech-German Symposium on Materials Science at the Větruše Hotel and Restaurant. The symposium is part of the MATun – World of Materials / Universities Together (Interreg Czechia–Saxony 2021–2027 program).

The symposium will provide an opportunity for researchers and students from Czech and Saxon universities to exchange experiences and establish cooperation. Participants can look forward to a wide range of topics – from biological applications and nano-bio interactions to material innovations, functional surfaces of implants and scaffolds, and advanced electrochemistry and mechanics of complex systems.

The program also includes poster sessions, coffee discussions, professional presentations by doctoral students and young scientists, as well as an accompanying program – e.g., a visit to the observatory in Teplice and a guided tour of the UJEP campus and laboratories.
