We were part of the Science Fair again this year.
Once again this year, we did not miss out on the largest popular educational event in the Czech Republic. The 9th annual Science Fair was organized by the Czech Academy of Sciences. The fair took place at the Letňany Exhibition Center from June 5 to 7, and Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem was there again.
The Faculty of Science at UJEP prepared a rich and interesting program for visitors of all ages. Curious future researchers tried out interesting physics experiments with vacuum and marshmallows, looked under a microscope at the structure of various types of seeds and chloroplasts in “non-green” plants, and viewed the fascinating in vitro plant cultures of the Department of Biology. The Department of Informatics prepared demonstrations of modern medical data analysis, simulations, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.
