We invite you to a lecture on the creation of heritage documentation using 3D digitization techniques
01The Department of Mathematics invites you to the lecture ‘Creation of monumental documentation of sacral buildings and museum artefacts’, which will take place on Friday 4 April 2025 at 14:00 in the classroom CP 1.04. The lecturer is RNDr. Štefan Gubo, PhD. from the Slovak University of J. Selye.
Currently, 3D digitization techniques, such as laser scanning and photogrammetry, are the most widespread and commonly used methods for recording and documenting cultural monuments. This lecture will discuss 3D documentation of sacred buildings (churches, rotundas) and museum artifacts (Roman tombstones, reliefs, statues and sarcophagi) using terrestrial laser scanning and Structure-from-Motion photogrammetry.
