On Thursday, 6 February, the Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem opens its doors to those interested in studying! Visit the Faculty of Science of UJEP, get to know the university campus and discover the opportunities that studying here offers you. We invite you to the Open Day at UJEP!
Considering what direction to take after high school? Which field of study is best for you? Find out about the opportunities our faculty and university offers you and come and see our facilities, classrooms, laboratories and greenhouses, talk to our students and academics and soak up the atmosphere of studying at UJEP on Thursday, 6 February.
A university-wide programme is ready for you from 8:00 a.m. in the lobby of the Multifunctional Information and Education Centre of UJEP. You will find useful information about the Open Day and studying at UJEP, instructions on how to navigate the campus and find a specific faculty. Of course, there will also be group tours of the UJEP campus by individual faculties. The MFC lobby will also provide information about Erasmus+ trips abroad, extracurricular and academic sports at UJEP, as well as the university library and its rich services for students. There will also be a chill out zone with refreshments and a photo corner.
From 8:30 a.m. onwards, a program is prepared directly at our Faculty of Science, which is housed in a modern CPTO (Centre for Science and Technology) building right in the heart of the Campus.
At 8:30, 11:00 and 13:00 lectures will take place in the auditorium 1.03, in which all interested persons will be given a general presentation of the studies and study programmes of the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Environment of UJEP by the Vice Dean for Studies of the Faculty of Science, RNDr. Martin Švec, Ph.D. and the Vice Dean for External Relations of the Faculty of Environment, doc. Ing. Pavel Krystyník, Ph.D.
Throughout the day, i.e. from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., there will be an infopoint in the lobby of the 1st floor of the CPTO, where students of our faculty and our study officers will be available to answer your questions throughout the day. Here you will find out all important information about applications, details about studies, possibilities of combining study programmes, full-time and combined forms of study, opportunities for internships abroad and other activities at the Faculty of Arts of the Jagiellonian University.
Academics and female academics, together with students from each department, will then be on hand on each floor of the CPTO building to give you more detailed information directly about studying in a particular department and detailed information about individual study programmes. If you are interested, they will be happy to give you guided tours of the classrooms and specialised laboratories or to reveal the scientific secrets of the smallest particles in popularisation talks.
Of course, the open door will also be on the premises of the Department of Biology of the Faculty of Science of the Jagiellonian University, 1000/8 Za Válcovnou Street, where a shuttle mini bus will take visitors at regular intervals from the Campus to the premises of the Department of Biology and further to the Faculty of Health Studies of the Jagiellonian University.
