UJEP is electing its rector for the period 2027–2031. Come and meet the candidates
Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem is set to hold an election for the post of rector for the term from 18 March 2027 to 17 March 2031. The UJEP Academic Senate announced the election in September, and the election manifestos and professional CVs of all candidates for the post of rector of our university have now been published.
On Wednesday 14 October 2026 at 3.00 pm, a meeting of the UJEP academic community will take place in the Red Hall of the MFC, at which the candidates will present their visions and election manifestos. Members of the academic community and UJEP staff will also have the opportunity to ask the candidates questions.
The candidates for the post of Rector of UJEP for the next term of office are:

Doc. RNDr. Jaroslav Koutský, Ph.D.
Doc. Ing. Jiří Orava, Ph.D.
Doc. RNDr. Michal Varady, Ph.D.
