European Sustainable Development Week to be held at UJEP campus
This year, for the first time, Jan Evangelista Purkyně University is participating in the European Sustainable Development Week (ESDW) from 20 to 26 September, 2023. During this week, thousands of various events take place across Europe, including conferences, exhibitions, workshops, seminars, film screenings, community meetings, open days, and many other activities.
The diversity of organised events is vast, but the goal is singular: to emphasise our concern for the future of the world we inhabit.
In the Czech Republic, the Ministry of the Environment oversees ESDW, and this year, they are joining forces with Czech Radio. On Czech Radio stations, you can tune in to a range of interesting reports and podcasts from 18 to 24 September.
For more information about ESDW, please visit their website.
UJEP is participating in ESDW as part of the UNILEAD project under the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, in collaboration with 24 Czech universities. The project aims to implement sustainable development goals in the operational aspects of universities in areas such as waste management, water resource management, biodiversity, catering, green construction, energy management, sustainable IT infrastructure, digitisation, sustainable mobility, and responsible procurement.
